The Atlantic Ocean
From the beach at MacArthur State Park, just north of West Palm Beach. I've lived all my life just a few miles from Lake Michigan, and I can tell you that an ocean is far more impressive than even one of the Great Lakes. You hear the ocean before you see it, and the many contrasting bands of vivid color are quite captivating.
In the distance you can see a vessel, probably a tanker of some sort.

A dead jellyfish we found lying on the beach.
